The use of cryopreserved cells in HTS is becoming increasingly popular. We have therefore designed this Service to supply you with large numbers of vials of your cryopreserved cells. This effectively uncouples cell culture from cell-based HTS assays and allows you thaw and use cells on your own schedule.
Typically, you send us your cells under appropriate CDA (or we can grow our own cells for you). We grow and expand these cells according to your instructions, typically in multiple 6,360 cm2 CellStacks, harvest and dispense them into vials at cell numbers, volumes and cryo-media that are specified by you. Vials are frozen at -1oC for optimal cell viability. Prior to shipping frozen cells back to you, we will test them for mycoplasma contamination, and will verify cell viability.
